As with every stage of your wedding planning, choosing how you arrive at your wedding is very special.
The wedding transport isn’t just how you travel to your wedding it is the start of your journey into married life.
It’s your special day so why not arrive in style; it’s your chance to choose something different or unique. Arriving in style will start your day of in a special way and make you feel like a princess. This doesn’t have to be a horse drawn carriage there are numerous options to consider from the tradition classic car to a tank.
Whatever mode of transport you decide there are a few things that you need to consider prior to making any enquiries. Have ready all the vital wedding information like, wedding date and time, pick up point, particular route, ceremony and reception venue and the amount of people who will required to be transported.
When choosing your method of transport you will need to check that it is suitable for the required route or that your venues will allow access to them.
If you are stuck for ideas then why not search on the internet for modes of transport or visit the local library and look in the transport section. If you have your heart set on a classic vintage car then but do not know your Morgan from your Mercedes but have an image in your mind of what you want then look thru a classic car book to get ideas of what make and model you would like.
When speaking to companies, ask if you can see the car (or whatever transport you have chosen) and if possible do for a short drive to get a feel of the car. Consider will you be able to fit in the car comfortably in your wedding dress. If they company say you can’t view the car or have a test drive - look elsewhere, why can’t you see the vehicle is there a reason.
You need to ask how long you have the car for taking into account the time for the duration of the ceremony and photo’s etc. Does the price include VAT, is your quote a set price. What happens if there is fuel increase will they try and pass a surcharge on to you and increase your quote? What is their cancelation policy? Always check the small print before signing any contract.
As cars are mechanical and things can happen, is it worth asking what would happen if the vehicle was off the road for whatever reason on your wedding day what is their procedure, do they have insurance to cover this, and do they have alternative vehicles to offer.
Choosing the right mode of transport and the right company is very important you need to feel confident and comfortable with both.
