Why Use A Wedding Planner

Many people are of the belief that a wedding planner is an unnecessary luxury, ‘they’re just for celebrities or the very wealthy’.  While this may have been true ten to fifteen years ago this is no longer the case and here are some reasons why you might want to consider using a wedding planner.....

Even if you’re not having a large wedding an event planner can still be invaluable when it comes to organising a more intimate day.  Regardless of the size of the celebration having a professional there removes the stress of planning the event and therefore makes an amazing difference.  When meeting with organisers they should be able to provide you with a portfolio of their work showing both large and small events that they’ve worked on, thus giving you a better sense of the benefits of working with a professional planner.

A professional wedding planner is there to work with you to ensure that your day is exactly as you’d want it to be.  A number of brides to be are initially concerned about ‘giving up control’ of their day but by working with you a planner will be able to ensure that your goals are taken into account and that an event is created that exceeds your expectations.

Research shows that the average wedding takes approximately 150 to 200 hours to plan!  People often underestimate the amount of work that is involved and therefore means that they will be unable to focus on their other priorities.

In addition to the amount of time it takes to plan a wedding is the fact that by finding vendors on the internet you may well be taking a risk on the quality of service that you receive.  Unless you are using recommended suppliers there is a chance that the standard may not be up to your expectations.  There will also be a lot of liaison required between you and the vendors while you’re chasing quotes, setting meetings, requesting samples etc.  A professional planner will be able to secure the best deals from wedding vendors and suppliers and will also take the stress out of dealing with a large number of companies at any one time.  You will have just one point of contact for any questions that arise.  As a result of this you will therefore save both money and time.
