Choosing the Perfect Wedding Dress

Part of the perfect wedding day, is the perfect wedding gown.  A gown that is high quality, fits comfortably and flatters your figure. 

Pear-Shaped

The idea here is to flatter your more slender upper body.  For the most effective glamour, choosing a gown with spaghetti strap or V-neckline bodice is your best bet.  The skirt should start you’re your waist and progressively flare out.  This will highlight your narrow midsection and gradually move out from your hips and thighs.

Well-Endowed/Busty

The scooped neckline is chic, without showing too much cleavage.  However, some brides prefer a strapless gown.  If this is the case, choosing one with a dip or shape; rather than one that moves straight across the bustline is a bride’s best choice. 
Depending on whether your figure is more hourglass or pear-shaped,  from your bust down, will determine what type of skirting you should choose. 
An hourglass bride can go almost any way.  If you want to accentuate your figure, a more form-fitting skirt or A-line will do the trick.  If you are pear-shaped and want to draw attention from that feature, a skirt that gradually flares out is the best choice for you. 

Plus-Sized

Flattering your full figure, with an Empire dress that has a skirt, beginning just under the bust and flowing increasingly to the floor, in an A-line design, will compliment your curves. 
 

Apple-Shaped

First, you will want a dress that tightens at the smallest point of your waistline and proceeds outward from that point.  A bodice with textures, beading and/or lace detail will conceal and bind, in a corset-like fashion, will bring draw attention to your best features.  Horizontal lining of the gown, will add a more stream-like appearance to your figure.
 

Tall

You will want to accentuate your natural shape, while engaging a lower waistline and a hem that touches the floor.  However, you do not want a gown that has a long or extended hemline.  Simplicity and chic lining will make your gown eye-catching and your figure admirable.
 

Slim/Non-Curvy

An ideal look, that will create the illusion of curves is the traditional ball gown.  You will want the top to be designed to create a volume look and a skirt that billows out, hiding your lack of curvy hips.  Take advantage of your slender figure and disguise your slender frame with the impression of curves.
 

Short/Petite

A chic Trumpet gown with a slight A-line will flatter your curves.  You want the skirt to start above the waistline to give your upper-body a longer look.  No extravagant bows or ornamentation are needed.  Basic, simple and elegant are the ideal mix for you.
You want to avoid gowns with huge or billowing skirts or short gowns, that will make your legs appear shorter.
